Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) Tracking
Full Line of GPS Tracking Services: Our TrakSeries GPS product line allows an agency to choose between our three tracking levels. We designed our equipment so that the same product is used for all three levels through the TrakMate GPS unit - our hand-held, discreet, cell phone- based tracking device.
Service Levels
Active: Our Active GPS level provides real-time offender tracking 24/7. Officers can set electronic
Geographic Restriction Zones (Inclusion and Exclusion) to control offender movement throughout the community, with immediate notification of all zone violations. Our cell phone-based design also allows officers to call and speak with the offender directly at anytime of the day or night. The unit can also be used for domestic violence monitoring, sex offenders and special situations where traditional monitoring is not suitable.
Intermediate: For an increase over Passive tracking, we offer our Intermediate level where officers can receive all data in a next-day historical format with the added benefit of being able to selectively view recent offender tracking data that is approximately no more than 10 minutes old. Although there is no immediate alert information, officers have the option to access our web-based SenTrak database and view recent offender information without having to wait until the next business day, as is common with Passive tracking. The direct voice connectivity to the offender is also enabled for additional officer options.
Passive: The most basic GPS tracking level is our Passive GPS, which provides officers with historical tracking information. All offender movement is stored in the TrakMate and downloaded once the offender docks the TrakMate upon returning to his residence.
Sentinel GPS Advantages:
Multi-Level Use with Same Product: We are the only company to provide three levels of GPS tracking - all with the same product.
Direct Voice Communication Capability: Our TrakMate GPS unit is the only field proven GPS unit that allows real-time officer-to-offender contact (patent pending).
MapQuest Mapping Source: Our partnership with MapQuest allows us to utilize the latest mapping resources. Mapping software is updated every six months, ensuring that we use the latest and most accurate mapping information.
CommandTrak Officer Control Unit: With our hand-held wireless PDA, officers can use the CommandTrak to access our SenTrak system and view offender activity. It is also equipped with a built-in cellular telephone that allows an officer to call offenders on the associated TrakMate GPS unit, at anytime.
